Student Services
Our goal in Shulamith is for each child to find their strengths, and build upon them. However, many children often need a little extra support. For children who qualify, CPSE (Committee on Preschool Special Education) and CSE (Committee on Special Education) can provide related services, i.e. speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. District personnel work in our building together with classroom teachers.
When a child is referred by either the classroom teacher or parent, her case is reviewed in collaboration by the principal and teacher. Mrs. Shira Bokow, our Shulamith ECC Learning Center Coordinator, is available to walk a parent through the process so that an Individual Educational Plan can be created to meet the needs of each child.
